Normally I'd talk about the great day but I have better news to report! I have just been promoted to Director of International Training! Yes, the wisdom of the cookie has come through! So that's it tonight from the coast of Sweden!

Today was another sunny day in Denmark so we decided to take the train to Malmo, Sweden and check out what was going on over there. It was just as sunny so we hopped onto a canal boat and did a quick cruise. This cruise came with a picnic basket of coffee and cakes, so once again it was dessert for lunch! (always a good way to go) At least now I can say that I've seen warm weather here and I even have a slight sunburn too. Go figure that I live next to a So Cal beach but I have to go to Denmark to get a tan! And since I haven't mentioned beer in the last two blogs, it't time for an update. No beer, but white wine, white wine, baileys, butterscotch liquer, and white wine. CT, if you're remembering to read, you are starting to relax and you've quite enjoyed the sun. Tomorrow we get on the ship and start the adventure!

After a long flight but with a bonus upgrade to business on the international segment, Lisa and I have arrived in Copenhagen. For the first time, I am not totally freezing here. It's sunny but windy. Hopefully today we'll meet up with some of the Trek group but if not, there's plenty of walking to do and ice cream to eat! We did manage to remember how to get money, buy train tickets, and get ourselves to downtown CPH without screwing up!

Land of the Dead is billed as the Ultimate Zombie Masterpiece. While I don’t agree with that hype, as far as zombie movies go, this one’s not bad. More descriptive titles could include Zombies! Armed and Dangerous, Zombies With Guns!, Zombie Armageddon!, or The Undead Learn to Think. Anyone who has ever seen a zombie movie knows that everyone dies. There’s not much hope against the army of the undead. If you’re evil, then your death is a sure thing. Sometimes the hero gets to live, sometimes the hero becomes a zombie. Land of the Dead asks the question, "What happens after decades of zombies becoming the majority of the population?" In this movie, pockets of humans survive in apocalyptic times by living in fenced cities, or for the rich, in the ultra-mall high rise. (You all know how zombies are drawn to malls, right?) We learn that after some time has passed, zombies start to act as if they were still human. Gas station attendant zombie, Big Daddy, has started to pump gas ...

Bewitched is one movie wher you might as well just save yourself the movie. It's really not that good. While Will Ferrell has a few moments where he's just fun to watch, the story and slow moving plot never come together in a fun way. There's no reason for Nicole Kidman's Isabel character to choose the Ferrell character, a fact that's even alluded to in the movie, but we as the audience are not going to buy into the love story. In fact, no one in the theater bought into the movie and when the credits rolled, the final amoebic thought was "huh." While not a remake of the TV series, there movie tries to include elements from the show. Uncle Arthur and Aunt Clara make an appearance, and the witch family of Isabel intermingles with the production of the new show. What is meant to be fun ends up more of a distraction than anything else. I did enjoy the performances of Michael Caine and Shirley MacLaine. Unfortunately, there storyline is left unresolved ...
