San Marcos Brewery & Grill
A good meal is the best way to wash out the memory of Wrath of the Titans. Since San Marcos Brewery is next door to the the theater it was an easy choice to walk over and check out the food and beer selection. For having lived in North County for years and going to the Regal Cinema constantly, I usually ignore Restaurant Row. But this time it worked and 4:00 pm on a Sunday brings an empty restaurant, good service, and hot food. We all tried the Southwest Chicken Sandwich and liked it. The beer was a bit iffy. Good marks for the Old Goat Oatmeal Stout but the Old English Ale (ESB) was either the end of the keg and flat, or not a good beer. I liked the Stout but the ESB was left on the table. Overall, the experience was good and I'd give the beer another try. Mondo stuck with diet coke, Homer went for the Pompous Ale/Ass (one spelling for the menu and another for the bar) but it was just so-so. Cheers!
