Marina Village, Sanctuary Cover

Most of the time I'm doing a sunrise walk before work but today we're starting late so I was able to see the Marina in full daylight. If you were rich, this is where you'd berth your yacht.  For the rest of us, it's admire the lifestyle.

Sanctuary Cove, Gold Coast, Australia

This is one of those work trips where hard work is off-set by ending up at a great hotel location. The resort is really for golfers, yacht owners, and relaxing tourism but it works for beat up business travelers also. While it looks like a giant palace, it's not. Most of the rooms are the hotel restaurants and offices and the hotel rooms are all in separate buildings around the area.  This was taken around 6am right as the sun was coming up.  A group of wallaby's has turned the hotel lawn their own personal buffet. It's fun to watch them sleep and eat. I haven't really seen them move.  Can't get too close and this guy was pretty watchful.

Palm Spring Weekend

106 ° f  in July and forecast for even higher temperatures later this week means that hotel prices in Palm Springs area drop way down. Lucky for me this coincides with a Hilton challenge that I'm doing right now. I wasn't calculating on how to entertain and get all my exercise in when the cool weather is 83 °.  A combination of movies during the day and early morning exploration and later afternoon surfing the net yielded the magic ticket. The big bonus was with no water and no humidity there are no mosquitoes. It turned out to be a documentary weekend with movies short enough and prices cheap enough I ended up seeing three. I can recommend "Won't You Be My Neighbor" to anyone who has ever watched even one episode of Mr. Rogers' Neighborhood. There is so much more to the story of his show and the fact that it was groundbreaking in many ways. "RBG" was equally good and provided another back story to not only Ruth Bader Ginsberg and was the only

Invisalign with Yertle - July

It's close to the 5 month mark with the retainer. In the last couple of weeks I've been leaving it off for longer periods of time during the day. At 6-7 hours the retainer snaps back into place with ease and at 8-9 hours it's a bit tighter and I can tell my teeth are still trying to shift. I'm going to stay with this plan for the next 10 days and see what happens if I go longer starting with my upcoming Australia work trip. The positive spin is that in the last two weeks I can see there really is going to be a point where I can reduce to only nightly wear and it will be okay. Hang in there fellow Invisaligners!
