Necropolis of the Masters of the Arts (Tikhvin Cemetery)

At the end of Nevsky Prospekt is the State Museum of the Urban Sculptures. The complex includes gardens, church, and cemeteries. The Tikhvin Cemetery is for musicians, artists, singers, painters of note. 200 ruples is the entrance fee and it's open from 9:30 am. to 7:00 pm. The area has unique headstones and monuments and it is a neat wandering place. Below are some samples of the area.

First the backstory. In about a week I'll be boarding a cruise ship (this year's Cruise Trek) in Romania. When I booked the flight many months ago, I had a brilliant idea to go in a week early to Vienna and use it as a base to spend a few nights each in Albania and Bosnia. Fast forward to 6 weeks ago and the Covid restrictions, flight schedules, and hotel prices made me give up.
