15-30 minutes out of downtown Auckland and you forget that you're near a big city. We were able to dodge the rain long enough to get a couple of coast walks in.

Stained Glass - Metropolitan Cathedral of Rio de Janeiro
Yesterday's tour included a quick stop to run inside the Metropolitan Cathedral of Rio de Janeiro and take photos of the stained glass. Glass looks best when it is sunny outside and we had sun in abundance! I need to find a camera setting that works with cathedrals. Stained glass is one of the more difficult things to photograph well.
The sky looks so clean and clear of smog.
