Trekkies 2 had a screening at the NBFF and I was there! It was more of the same but with International Trekkies. It's amazing the extremes people go to. One guy turned his entire flat into the command console and it's for sale on e-Bay! It would be kind of cool as a travel hotel but I wouldn't want to live there. Who knew the Trekkies of Germany were so isolated? The movie also revisited people from the first movie. The jury duty lady is still wearing her uniform and stirring up things in Little Rock. Oh and in Sacramento there's a whole world of Star Trek themed bands. Like they said, what else is there to do in Sacramento? It was a fun movie, slightly long, but a very enjoyable Aussie group who worship Conner Trinner of Enterprise. Go see it just for that! Dusseldorf - continued
The sun slowly gave way to clouds then rain. This is not a city for walking in the rain. Before it was time to shelter and stay dry, I did one last walk around the area. The business district and surrounding areas are clean and little graffiti or murals. Found this flamingo? near the old city. While the leaves probably congest the waterways, they do look cool floating on the water. Ornate door entrance. Soon after this was taken, the clouds and mist lowered and the top of tower stayed obscured for the rest of my stay. I decided to pass on paying to go to the top when there was no visibility. Back in my hotel room I saw this rainbow emerge right before the rain started pelting down.
