Internet at last! We arrived on the ship to find that the server had crashed and that they had to fly in a tech from Miami to meet us in Melbourne. That meant no internet for at least three days and we had a sea day right after leaving Sydney so no land net cafes either! Then in Melbourne, still no internet. We spent the sea day sick in the cabin since the ocean had been rough with 14 ft waves for 24 hours. What a loss! At least we go adjusted to the time as we lived on 6 hour seasick pills that the front desk was handing out all over the place. This photo is at Bondi Beach. I've been flying for 17 hours and then we were picked up and taken sightseeing with no time to change!

Innsbruck - here despite it never being on my to-see list
First the backstory. In about a week I'll be boarding a cruise ship (this year's Cruise Trek) in Romania. When I booked the flight many months ago, I had a brilliant idea to go in a week early to Vienna and use it as a base to spend a few nights each in Albania and Bosnia. Fast forward to 6 weeks ago and the Covid restrictions, flight schedules, and hotel prices made me give up. Changing the flight to Vienna would result in penalties and possibly fare increases so I made the best of it and thought, where can I go in Austria where I've never been? Innsbruck, hmm. Can I get a free flight from Vienna? Yes! Can I get a free hotel room? Yes. Check! The city is picture perfect though. Nestled in a valley between two mountain ranges, it's green, colorful, and everything you could want a place to be when the purpose is total work decompression. No major sightseeing, no expectations. You, a city and a view. It's walkable and small. You've got to look up, left and right,
Stained Glass - Metropolitan Cathedral of Rio de Janeiro
Yesterday's tour included a quick stop to run inside the Metropolitan Cathedral of Rio de Janeiro and take photos of the stained glass. Glass looks best when it is sunny outside and we had sun in abundance! I need to find a camera setting that works with cathedrals. Stained glass is one of the more difficult things to photograph well.
