Spock

Like all Trekkies I was sad to hear the news about Leonard Nimoy's death. Spock was such a pivotal character in my life in ways that only a Trekkie gets. Learning how to get my fingers into the perfect V salutation, using mind over body power, and uttering "Illogical" and "Live Long & Proper" to name a few. Leonard Nimoy was a great speaker at conventions and his roles later in his career were fun cameos of either himself confronted with fans or as original Spock in the new movies.

Star Trek and the character of Spock live on but someone wonderful has left the world and with it, a piece of what made fandom so special.
