Tonight's post was supposed to be about the movie "Dust Into Glory," a documentary about desert sports competition. Mondo, Ms. Kitty and I showed up to the theater two hours early to buy our tickets, only to find that it was sold out. Go figure. No one in Hillcrest goes to see dirt bike movies but tonight was the exception.

So it was off to Khyber Pass for some Afghan food before we headed back to the beach. As we returned to the car, we saw the reason for the sellout. It looked like an entire desert sports competitive team was lined up for the movie. Oh well, another day for this one.

Once back at the beach we decided to do the sunset walk and burn some calories. It's sad to say, but the big event of the evening was Ms. Kitty's rescue of a sea slug that had somehow made it's way to shore and was stuck on the beach. The poor creature was returned to the sea with a wild ride as it splashed back into the water. At least it was spared a slow death on the beach. So tonight's wish is good luck to the sea slug and may it find it's way back to the tidepools.
