When I feel an earthquake, then you know it's a bad one. Normally I can sleep through the things or not even notice but the one a couple minutes ago was big. I jumped. My lamps rattled, the desk moved, and it's been a long time since this much movement happened.
For a 5.8 quake in LA/Chino Hills, this was pretty rolling to hit Carlsbad. Aftershocks are sure to be on their way soon.

I was in Lake Forest for our staff meeting. The epicenter could not have been more than 20 miles away. We really rocked and rolled. It's been a long time since I felt one like that.
ReplyDeleteEveryone one at work felt it. One woman yelled "OMG! An earthquake!" I just sat there typing away. It would take a stronger quake to get my attention. If that ever happens, then I'd have to "duck and cover" like they taught us in the fourth grade.
