Lisa and I finally arrived in Denmark around 730 pm last night. Our final flight was delayed by 30 minutes so the streak continued. As we boarded, there was yet another problem with our boarding pass somehow related to the eticket. We were nearly the last ones on the plane except for the unlucky few behind us. 5 flights, 6 airplanes and only 1 was problem free and that was the flight we were never supposed to be on, Frankfurt to Zurich. Go figure. All that's behind now and it's a beautiful day in Denmark and we're going to be out and about doing something.

Innsbruck - here despite it never being on my to-see list
First the backstory. In about a week I'll be boarding a cruise ship (this year's Cruise Trek) in Romania. When I booked the flight many months ago, I had a brilliant idea to go in a week early to Vienna and use it as a base to spend a few nights each in Albania and Bosnia. Fast forward to 6 weeks ago and the Covid restrictions, flight schedules, and hotel prices made me give up. Changing the flight to Vienna would result in penalties and possibly fare increases so I made the best of it and thought, where can I go in Austria where I've never been? Innsbruck, hmm. Can I get a free flight from Vienna? Yes! Can I get a free hotel room? Yes. Check! The city is picture perfect though. Nestled in a valley between two mountain ranges, it's green, colorful, and everything you could want a place to be when the purpose is total work decompression. No major sightseeing, no expectations. You, a city and a view. It's walkable and small. You've got to look up, left and right,
Stained Glass - Metropolitan Cathedral of Rio de Janeiro
Yesterday's tour included a quick stop to run inside the Metropolitan Cathedral of Rio de Janeiro and take photos of the stained glass. Glass looks best when it is sunny outside and we had sun in abundance! I need to find a camera setting that works with cathedrals. Stained glass is one of the more difficult things to photograph well.
Glad you made it there. It took me 15 days to drive from San Diego to Las Vegas. Talk about taking the long route! Hope to see more photos from your trip.
