Sat. Nov. 6th. The cruise has left Tampa and we're off to Key West! We started our Trek party with a pirate themed banquet complete with eye patches, gold coins, and plenty of fun! Our table was a wild bunch and we all became great friends after the night. Today I wasn't thrilled about waking up early again to be off to the ship but it worked out as usual.

Terri booked a suite and one the advantages of having a suite is early boarding of the ship, which extends to friends traveling with you. The joy of bypassing the line was incredible! And, suites come with a private lounge, so we had pre-lunch and an invitation to come back for a private party later that night, which we did. Then we were off to the Trek party which was probably the most happening place on the ship and OPEN BAR! Very nice indeed. After we were all liquored up, the Canadian SF Channel started coming around for our interviews. They're here filming us all week.

As far as ships go, the Veendam isn't the finest ship I've ever sailed. The gym charges for some of the workouts, I haven't seen my cabin steward yet (but I'm sure he exists) and service at dinner was somewhat off. The bar crew was stressed over our Trek group and the ship isn't even at full capacity. It seems somewhat empty which is nice, no crowds anywhere.

Well tomorrow we dock at Key West and we have a pub crawl planned. The meeting place - Margaritaville, probably the most boring club in Key West. Such as it goes. Hopefully tomorrow's entry will be far more fascinating. The ship is listing from side to side and I'm having trouble concentrating. We had lots of group discussion today on all things Trek and the actors have been involved with our groups. The dreaded anamoly question has arised again for Trek Feud. I'll keep you posted.
