Thanksgiving weekend is finally here and in a few hours I'll be on my way to Paris! I'm not sure if I'll post from there but you can always check back on Monday for the initial trip report and a photo or two.

Stained Glass - Metropolitan Cathedral of Rio de Janeiro
Yesterday's tour included a quick stop to run inside the Metropolitan Cathedral of Rio de Janeiro and take photos of the stained glass. Glass looks best when it is sunny outside and we had sun in abundance! I need to find a camera setting that works with cathedrals. Stained glass is one of the more difficult things to photograph well.
This first shot of Lebanon is in Khalde, about 30 minutes outside of Beirut. The view from my hotel window in Beirut. I wasn't willing to try and run through traffic to get the beach shot. And finally, the ocean from Khalde.
Just got a call from Karen. She is stuck in the Chicago airport due to the heavy snow falling. Her flight to Paris is delayed by several hours. Hopefully she will get there tomorrow.
