The beach at Veracruz. The water was churned up and looked more like San Diego beach water than the blue water that is normally in the Gulf of Mexico. I wouldn't call Veracruz a paradise but in a few years, I think it will start to resemble Cancun. There are quite a few new hotels being built and the old historic part of the city has Spanish buildings, there are plenty of cafes, and lots of shopping for tourists.
It's only the first weekend in September but the beaches were deserted. The kite flyer was the only thing happening here.
